A few things about Clark-Dana-Spicer You may not know...
Incorporated as the 'Spicer Universal Joint Manufacturing Company' in 1904 in New Jersey, by Cornell student, and later Automotive Hall Of Fame Inductee, Clarence W. Spicer. Spicer was also one of a few engineers who worked with the US military on the Class B Liberty Truck for WWI.
The company was renamed the 'Spicer Manufacturing Company' in 1909. After relocation to Toledo in 1928, the newly coined 'Spicer Manufacturing Company' was again renamed the Dana Corporation after long time treasurer and president, Charles Dana, who would also be an Automotive Hall Of Fame inductee in 1978.
