The Story Of Fiat Allis Is One To Behold
Fiatallis started in 1974 as a joint venture between Fiat Macchine Movimento Terra (Fiat Earth Moving Equipment) and the Allis-Chalmers company. In 1988 all of Fiat-Allis and Fiatagri (Fiat's agricultural machinery division) merge into one company, FiatGeotech. After only three years, Fiat acquires Ford New Holland, Inc., and merges it with FiatGeotech naming the new company N.H.Geotech (catchy, huh?).
G.H.Geotech changes its name to New Holland in 1993 and finally in 1999 Case Corporation and New Holland join forces to form CNH Global, making it the number one manufacturer of agricultural tractors and combines in the world and the third largest maker of construction equipment on the planet.
CNH products are sold under the following brands: Case, Case IH, Fiatallis, Fiat-Hitachi, Link-Belt (earth moving equipment), New Holland, O&K, Steyr and Kobelco.
